Subject: [ZOOARCH] AW: Munich bird references
Dear all,
I discussed this with Joris. We were concerned with copyright issues since we do not have the explicit permits of the original authors. However, since our faculty now publishes dissertations online we think that it should be ok if we make these quite old dissertations available on our homepage:
http://www.palaeo.vetmed.uni-muenchen.de/index.html
This will take a few days, though.
Best,
Nadja

Betreff: Re: Munich bird references
Dear all,
I have those (except the Lorch and Gruber one) as scanned pdf's that my colleague once shared to me. However, as those were meant for kind of personal use and Munich doesn't really permit to distribute them, I'm not sure how I should act? I'm sure I could share them with anyone interested though, right?
Regards,
Eve Rannamäe

Hi, I too have all the theses and a few years ago it was proposed to scan to pdf but permission was not granted because Munich said they were going to republish as pdf - however as far as I know they still have not - do you want to have a go at prompting them?

Dear Zooarchaeologists,
I was just composing a list of many of the bird-focused PhD dissertations that came out of Munich in the 1970-90s. While I have access to these publications at the institutions where I work, it would be very nice to have them as pdfs so they are available in the field and to share with other researchers who might not have printed copies. So, I am writing to ask the list if there are digital copies of these works available:
Vergleichend morphologische Untersuchungen an Einzelknochen des postkranialen Skeletts in Mitteleuropa vorkommender Schwäne und Gänse.
Alois Bacher, 1967
Vergleichend morphologische Untersuchungen an Einzelknochen des postkranialen Skeletts in Mitteleuropa vorkommender Enten, Halbgänse und Säger.
