Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organising committee, we are pleased to announce that we are now accepting abstract submissions for the 7th meeting of the ICAZ Archaeozoology, Genetics and Morphometrics (AGM) Working Group, to be held at the University of Liverpool from 13-15 October, 2017.
This working group brings together researchers to encourage exchanges between archaeozoologists, geneticists and morphometricans, and contributions to the working group will be organised in thematic sessions to promote collaboration in these disciplines. While the meeting is largely focused on archaeozoology, contributions from related fields such as botany and anthropology are also encouraged.
We invite the submission of abstracts of no more than 300 words, for either 15-minute paper, or poster presentations.
Session topics include, but are not limited to, the following themes, and we welcome submissions on any topic relevant to the broader themes of the working group:
- Animals as proxies – Answering archaeological questions with animal data
- Colonisation – Hitchhikers, stowaways and invaders.
- Animals between wild & domestic
- Health & Disease
- Extreme Environments & Peripheral Zones
More detailed information about these sessions and the working group can be found at www.icazagm2017.wordpress.com
Proposals can be sent to [log in to unmask] by 28 July 2017, using the form found on the website.
Looking forward to seeing many of you in Liverpool this autumn!
Best wishes,
Carly Ameen
