Dear Pierre,
In my undergraduate final work, I tackled the theme of “everyday”. I
designed a series of objects for seeing, really seeing, noticing and
becoming aware of the everyday. Georges Perec’s *L'infra-ordinaire*
and *Espèces
d'espaces* were my main inspirations. I think that other works from the
Oulipo group could be interesting for your goal.
Since then, my interest on this theme has continued, more as a hobby, than
as a work. In 2011, I wrote the paper “Design as speculation” for Design
Philosophy Papers: https://www.academia.edu/2593744/Design_as_Speculation
In this paper, I considered the work of design masters (such as Achille
Castiglioni), young designers (at that time, Paolo Ullian, Susana Soares,
Ionna Vautrin, Odoardo Fioravanti, Giulio Iacchetti and Matteo Ragni, the
same Alejandro Aravena…), or conceptual designer (Fiona Raby and Anthony
Dunne).
I think the work of Dunne and Raby is very relevant to tackle the theme,
especially in today electronic scenarios.
Another reference that I find relevant is Franco La Cecla’s *Non è cosa,*
but I think there is no translation...
Best regards,
Carlo
