Dear Mailbase,
I got the following Friday evening query from a GP:
"My patient works on an oil refinery and has been exposed to an exhaust pipe that disposes of the waste after processing crude C4
http://www.c4u-trade.com/en/info/60/Raffinate-1.html
He was advised to test for urine TT muconic acid and a level of less than 0.5 muconic acid mg/ creatinine was said to be normal".
Does anybody know of a referral lab for urinary trans, trans-muconic acid?
Kind regards,
Caroline
