Good Colleagues
For some us the decision to pursue science was driven by our moral desire to do what is right for our fellow human. It follows that if in our judgement the decision made by the politicians are causing harm to human lives, we have a moral responsibility to challenge those decisions.
Clearly DJT and his administration are making decisions that have negative effect on people’s lives. In my view it is proper for scientific community intellectually debate these issues. I believe that social justice is a foundation for good science.

The American colleague reacted to the this line:
What's sad is that lack of science conferences in the US is probably
JUST what Trump wants.
Welcome to Trumpistan.
