Dear Teena,
hypotheticals
If I were to see my failure to be employed, promoted, given access to
resources was because of who I am (my nature / personality / disposition)
-
I might feel debilitated. (Soft rejection? - Why soft? Because we donšt
tend to care about these differences even though we make many life
changing decisions based on these differences)
If I were to see such an event as arising because of my gender/ race /
sexual orientation -
I might feel disabled. (Hard rejection? - Why hard? Because we can
organise around these differences politically / ideologically / socially)
