Subject: statistics for health system evaluation
Following in from beds, whatever that may mean, i not the only criterion.
here are some stats that would be useful
Population small countries on the whole spend more and have better outcomes, think scandinavia
%GDP as tax revenue
%tax revenue location
health: community/gp, doctors, nurses, other health professionals etc
mode of payment: free at point of delivery(UK), or insurance & reclaim. there must be as many ways as countries
defence
transport: roads, rail, other etc
debt service
home security: police, prisons etc
social services: minor care (adoption, homes, foster, visits), elderly care, disability care
civil service: local, national
etc.
where can defined such data for UK, and global or European.
Its probably all out there somewhere, but putting it together, ah……………..
RadStats needs such summaries for rational debate
best
Diana
