Dear Colleagues
Why not come to the ARA conference for a day (if you can't make the
whole event).
We are in the final stages of the conference planning cycle, and it is
all progressing splendidly! We have highlighted all we can to
encourage as many people as possible to the conference, and by the
number of registrations, it is looking to be as popular an event as
ever. The full conference programme is available here:

One group we always try to remind about the conference specifically
are our colleagues that can't make it to the conference for a full
three days. We lead busy lives and I don't know about you, but for
some reason days and weeks disappear at an incredible rate, never mind
the financial and other problems that come at us. From feedback from
day delegates in the past, we know that this opportunity can be a
unique CPD and training day in an our very challenging sectoral
environment. So, if you are still reading and the wheels are beginning
to turn, here's what we can tell you about conference and attending
for a day.
Wednesday 31 August 2016 at a glance: keynote, 22 papers, 31 speakers,
information village, refreshments and lunch
Keynote: Colin Prescod, 'There are records - archives, race, class and
rage'. This will be a challenging start to our conference and we hope

Colin to provide us with much to talk about.

We hope we might have made the case for you to come to at least a day
of the ARA Conference. You can also choose to join us for our
Wednesday evening reception, or Thursday evening Gala Dinner. If you
need help in persuading your employers, we still have the model
business case letter available on our website: http://bit.ly/1MhMsWB
and this can be tailored for day attendance.
You can of course still register for the whole conference.
