Dear all,
As some of you already know since they are member of the board, 'Sciences du Design' is a peer-reviewed, French-speaking, international journal of scholarly design research published at Presses Universitaires de France : http://www.sciences-du-design.org/en. Under the auspices of an international scientific committee from more than 30 higher educational and research institutions, 'Sciences du Design' is a biannual journal available in bookstores and by subscription, both in print and online through Cairn.info.
Published in Open Access through the kind permission of Presses Universitaires de France, the new section 'Visualisation' of the journal 'Sciences du Design' hosts, in French or in English, research contributions in visual and graphic form from all around the world researchers, designers, creative. These may take the form of computer graphics, visual analytics or data visualisations. The approach can be epistemic (production of new knowledge), heuristic (opening of new paths of knowledge), or poietic (exploration, experimental investigation, creative practice). Only a short text, in English or in French, is required to introduce the visual work. Visualisations can be static images or interactive and dynamic elements. For each collection, a limited number of visualisations is selected and published in the printed version.
These visualisations are organized into collections. Each collection is related to an issue of the journal and is published in full online on the dedicated website: http://visu.sciences-du-design.org, which is released today and offers you to browse the visual works of the issue 03 that will be published in printed and online format on next June 22. This first collection of visual works for issue 03 comes mostly from french-speaking researchers but other contributions from all around the world are very welcomed for next issues.
The section 'Visualisation' is edited by French designer and researcher David Bihanic : http://visu.sciences-du-design.org/
