Morning,
I wanted to share a piece of work we just built and launched with Animal Vegetable Mineral for the Royal Academy of Arts and The Space.
We were commissioned to create a 360° digital exhibition experience, allowing users to 'visit' the Royal Academy of Arts' Ai Weiwei exhibition with no travel required.
You can try it for yourself on the BBC Taster Website, here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/taster/projects/ai-weiwei-360
I'd be interested to hear what you all think of the experience?
It also made me wonder how much scope there is for museums and galleries to display content digitally as well as physically. Would digital versions of exhibitions reduce physical visitor numbers or actually increase them by generating more interest? Can this digital approach give exhibitions a longer life or is part of the charm of an exhibition the fact that it is only there for a finite time?
I hope you enjoy the experience.
Drew
