Given the Scottish location, is it a Highland cattle skull?

Dear Julia,
The horns curving down with a probably prominent nuchal area (shame this part is broken) may fit in with the typical 'longhorn' shape as described by Grigson in Journal of Archaeological Science 1976 and nicely illustrated in Hall and Clutton-Brock 200 Years of British Farm Livestock (1995, 63-65), here described as 'improved longhorns'.
All the best
Kevin

Hello again,
My apologies for the facebook link not working I have now loaded the photos onto zoobook, with some extras that were provided to me yesterday evening.

I personally have not seen a cattle skull quite like this before.
Cheers,
Julia
