Hi Katheryn when you say 'mobile technology' what do you mean? I am exploring the impact of a mobile clinical simulation facility in Scotland which is essentially a lorry kitted out as a clinical skills training facility. Is that your sort of mobile technology?!

Subject: Dissertation proposal for a realist evaluation
Hello,
I am entering candidacy in a nursing doctoral program in Texas. I have support from my committee to conduct a realist (realistic) evaluation of a mobile technology used by healthcare professionals. Only one of my committee members is familiar with RE, however, the other 2 seem excited about the venture. I - on the other hand - am anxious and tentative. My anxiety stems from not having anyone to bounce off ideas. RE is not a mainstream idea in my academic world.
I have all of Pawson's textbooks and have scoured the literature for RE studies. I've been literally swimming in RE for 8 months.
My next immediate step is to write my proposal. I am seeking advice, support, "you go girl!" motivation, and anything else this group can offer. And, quite simply, I wanted to reach out to this group - because I know I will have more specific questions in the near future.
