Hi all,
We're now in the last few months of our fallow deer project and one of the things I'd like to focus on is getting the deer bone database to a stage where it will be a really useful resource for the zooarchaeological community. The database is currently stored here (see link below) but will move over to be stored by the Archaeology Data Service with a linked article.
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/zooarchaeology/deer_bone/search.php
If you would like us to upload any of your deer data - any cervid species, from anywhere in the world, any date - please send the raw data files to me with information about the site (location, date, site-type and reference). All data will be fully referenced
The database can host the following information:
Skeletal representation data
Metrics
Isotope results
Radiocarbon dates.
All the best, Naomi
