This is perhaps a delayed reaction, BUT: could someone please confirm that this 'Neschen's filmoplast P' is 'archivally sound'? (I need some tape for a non-map job.)

I use Neschen's filmoplast P. It came in a 50mx2cm roll. I bought mine from Conservation Resources though their delivery charges are rather steep. It needs burnishing or rubbing on, it's very easy.
Note to archivists, don't read the next line.
If you're not worried about the long-term, you can use Magic Tape which is easier to obtain.
Best wishes

Subject: Tape for repairing folded maps
Dear all
I would be very grateful to hear if anyone has any recommendations on which brand/s of clear tape would be best for repairing old worn folds on paper OS maps (for continued outdoor use).
Many thanks
Best regards,
