Hi
Re-sits (we are a sixth form college) are paid for by the students. No
pay, no re-sit. They fill out a form and have to hand that in to the
Exams Office with their payment before the deadline. One fee (£25) and
it will double after (our) deadline.
Kind regards

We have trouble with our re-sits as we invoice the students and they
don't pay. I spend 2 months July/August continuously chasing payment
and as a last resort block results (temporarily) in the hope students
will be inconvenienced enough to pay.
I don't run OD exams thank fully but I am also considering moving to
pay up front.
If you do this, don't enter then pay - you will never get the money!

Hi
Online tests - we tend to charge the departments for the online test
resit fees and then it is up to them to get the monies from the
students. This is for the very reasons you stated below especially as
the departments want them to be entered at short notice for resits.
Paper resits - ie gce/gce etc - we collect the fees in the office as we
set deadlines, although the BTEC NQF Level 2 resits weren't as straight
forward as the lecturers forgot to mention the resit fee.

Subject: Re-Sit Fees & Policy
Hi
Does anyone have a re-sit exam fee policy that they wouldn't mind
sharing with me?
A lot of exam boards charge for re-sits after the 3rd attempt at online
unit exams. At the minute we cover that cost but with more and more
exam boards charging the costs are getting ridiculous.
My worry is if I'm waiting for learners to pay before I book them in
for a re-sit I'll be waiting forever! Or they just won't pay!! Any
thoughts or ideas welcome!?!?
:)
