Hi All,
As some of you may know, I have long been an advocate of EBD. But I find it difficult, if not impossible, to join in this discussion because it’s at too general a level. Would it be possible for us to talk about concrete cases of EBD, working from the specific to the general rather than from the general into even more general realm?
I’m happy to share my own experiences in EBD and learn from others who are struggling with these matters.
But I don’t find it helpful when people come into this discussion waving a banner, placing a stake (stakeholder?) in the ground and declaring that such things as EBD are anathema and creativity is god or vice versa.
In my own work, I actually find that what I call EBD and what some people call creativity go hand in hand. For those of you who want to start spluttering and ask me to stop using the two terms in the one sentence, sorry. But like Birger and Ken I don’t think these are black and white matters.
Could we not, for once, have an appreciative conversation?
David
