I'm really glad to see these questions being asked. Are you including
issues like accessibility within digital inclusion?
Some discussions on-list have touched on finding the balance between
exploring the potential of new technologies, and the ethics of spending
money on platform-specific mobile apps given their limited reach compared
to responsive sites.
The sustainability of digital platforms might have ethical implications -
should museums who've collected content from audiences via platforms like
Facebook or Flickr ensure they can migrate that content if/when they change
their rules or functionality? We've already seen organisations lose content
when services like Posterous closed down.
Finally, what about the privacy implications of encouraging or relying on
social networks and wearable technologies, such as facial recognition or
automatic photo tagging in Facebook or (potentially) Google Glass?
Cheers, Mia
