We are seeking a programmer to join our Digital Team who can prove their technical abilities. We want someone who can bring ideas, be proactive but also be able to develop Scratchr and link it with BAC's main website.
The Web Programmer's primary role is to work alongside the Digital Producer of the Scratch on The Space project and programme, co-produce, maintain the functionality of assigned web site accounts and support the artistic development of digital art works especially made for the internet.
Scratch on The Space is BAC's new digital project in collaboration with The Space/BBC to fully commission a digital artwork especially created for the internet.
The Space is a pilot digital arts service and commissioning programme launched by Arts Council England in partnership with the BBC. The Space is a free website for artists and audiences to create and explore exciting new art, commissioned by us and shared around the Whole Wide World. The Space has co-commissioned BAC to fully commission a full scale digital artwork especially created for the internet. The programmer will work closely with the artists as well as the Digital Producer, to support and develop their ideas through meetings, emails and most importantly during two scratch labs.
