Hi,
I just some updates to our PCs many of which are still XP and only have IE8 on them - there wasn't a problem getting to the site but I didn't go beyond that I'm afraid. Nor have customers complained as yet.
Google chrome now by-passes Administrative logins for install and does it to the user's folder where they usually have this permission - for us it's not too much of a problem as it will be removed by Deep Freeze but this could be a problem for other authorities.
Kind regards,
Vicki

Is any other Library Service having issues with members of the public accessing Ancestry from Library computers? On the Ancestry website there ia an update from February 5th 2014 recommending using either Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Windows Internet Explorer 11 browsers as anything less will probably not work but no timescale from when this may occur.
