Maverick Publishing Specialists announces new International additions to
their growing team of publishing experts

Appointments facilitate Maverick's further expansion into Australia and New
Zealand, as well as providing greater support for the company's
international business development, technology and project management
divisions.

Dorset, UK April, 2014 - Maverick Publishing Specialists, the specialist
strategic consultancy and outsource services company for the publishing
industry, today welcomed new members to its growing team of associates;
Darren Gillgrass, who joins as Head of International Business Development
for non-US Markets; Sophie Durlacher, who joins as Associate and
Programme/Project Management Consultant; and Diana Jones, who joins as a
Marketing Associate and will take the lead in heading Maverick's new
Australian office and supporting Maverick's continuing expansion into Asia
Pacific. 

Darren has over 20 years experience in STM publishing, heading both journal
publishing as well as medical education & communication teams. His previous
roles include Managing Director of the Informa Healthcare Communications and
Informa Custom Publishing Groups and General Manager of Wolters Kluwer
Health, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He was also responsible for
running the Pharma Business Intelligence Group across Europe, Japan and
Asia. Joining Maverick to help drive further business and project
development outside the US territories, his particular areas of expertise
also includes continuing medical education, e-healthcare, product and market
development, licensing and top level publishing strategy. 

Sophie is a seasoned project manager who helps guide teams through
transition and development. With vast experience going back to the very
early days of online publishing, Sophie has overseen print and online
publishing management for top publishing companies including Thomson,
Macmillan, and ProQuest International. Sophie  has also provided research,
account management, market analysis and project management services to a
range of companies across publishing, technology and marketing, including
Merck Animal Health, Qualcomm and CUP.

Diana Jones is heading up Maverick's new Australia office. With over 20
years' experience of working in editorial, marketing and product development
roles in the STM publishing and non-profit sectors, Diana's areas of
expertise include marketing strategy and planning, product development,
business planning, market research, branding, and online marketing. She is
also an experienced project manager and a Certified Practising Marketer in
Australia.
