Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer - Industrial Design (Position number: 22272)

• Salary: $79,230 - $111,708 plus 17% superannuation
• Full-time, ongoing position based at the Hawthorn campus

The Faculty of Design includes the Swinburne School of Film and Television, Design Factory and the National Institute for Design Research. The faculty offers a range of undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate programs in Communication Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Digital Media Design and Design Anthropology.
The faculty is currently seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to contribute to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, in the discipline area of Industrial Design.
The incumbent will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of subjects and courses conducted by the discipline. Other responsibilities of the role will include developing learning materials, supervision of post graduate research candidates and convening units of study and managing programs of study.
Skills & experience
To be successful in this position at Academic level B, it is preferred that you have an earned doctoral qualification in a design related discipline or substantial progress towards its completion. At Academic level C, it is essential that you have earned a doctoral qualification in a design related discipline or progressed towards near completion. You will also need substantial knowledge in the subject field of design, experience in tertiary teaching and an ability to demonstrate ongoing research activities. This role also requires that you have a high standard of interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment are also essential for this role.
