Hi Sarah
There are some interesting touch screen monitors that run android "out of the box" so you don't need to connect a computer to them to run stuff. They can be screwed directly to the wall using a standard monitor/TV mount and work surprisingly well. Plus they're big - 22" or so so good for access.
