Hi Jerry,
We're an art deco cinema, with 1930s murals and so on in the auditorium. We have an access lift which allows access into the back part of the auditorium, but the tour we're looking at is of the google street-view style so it'll feel more like walking around it and allow a close-up view of the murals and the period features in the auditorium. It'll also provide a look around the upstairs rooms (the old manager's office, projection room, etc.) which are now used as an exhibition space. To get an idea of what we're about, have a look at our history website www.regaltenbury.org.uk which has some static interior images of some of our spaces.
So, the box office, where the digital tour will be accessed from, is at street level. Anything else in the building is up or down some steps (some can be circumnavigated by lift, others not).
Hope that helps you and anyone else confused about the way I'd worded it, sorry if I wasn't clear.
Best,
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
I am probably being a bit slow, but I don't understand the problem you are describing, so am not sure how to provide an answer *:0! You say:
"I'm currently looking into providing a 360 navigable tour of the cinema in our foyer, for those who can't get up our old steep steps to see the upstairs part of the building."
For those who can't get upstairs how would a 360 degree tour of the cinema in your foyer (I presume on the ground floor) assist those who want a panorama of upstairs? OR perhaps your foyer IS upstairs?
Any why would visitors want to see a 360 degree tour of your cinema - or is there something special about it?
"A variant of this involves tethering a tablet to a wall mounted TV which is already in the foyer and used for showing our 'what's on / coming soon'
Information" - this does make sense :) !
Kind Regards,
Jerry

Hi everyone,
Sorry for cross-posting.
I'm currently looking into providing a 360 navigable tour of the cinema in our foyer, for those who can't get up our old steep steps to see the upstairs part of the building. I'm investigating various different solutions, one of which is to have a tablet which is mounted into some kind of wall bracket (in an attempt to make it less walk-off-with-able). Has anyone out there done anything similar, and could recommend a tablet and/or bracket? I'd prefer a cheaper tablet rather than an iPad - I don't think our budget really stretches to Apple, and anyway, something else would hopefully be less tempting for someone to try and take!
A variant of this involves tethering a tablet to a wall mounted TV which is already in the foyer and used for showing our 'what's on / coming soon'
information. The tablet input could then be switched to when you wanted to explore the tour.
All input gratefully received, thanks.
Best,
Sarah
