Dear colleagues,
This is the second circular of the 13th 'International workshop on modelling mantle and lithosphere dynamics' which will take place in Hoenefoss (Norway) from 31 August to 5 September 2013.
We are looking forward to discussing numerical techniques, modelling challenges, extended model capabilities, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. The workshop focusses on posters and discussions and we have set aside ample time for this in the programme. We therefore strongly encourage all participants to present a poster.
Please note that the absolute abstract and registration deadline is 31 July 2013. However, rooms are assigned on first-come, first-serve basis, so don't wait too long! Please consider sharing a room as we have limited single rooms available.
Payment of the conference fee is possible as of today. The conference fee is 1500 NOK (ca 205 euro) and can be paid by bank transfer. You can find the details on http://www.earthdynamics.org/lucky13/registration.html The conference fee is waived for student who present a poster and for invited speakers. Please note that registration is only complete when we have received the conference fee.
The rates at Klękken Hotel are 1395 NOK per day (approx. 190 euro per day) for a single room and 1195 NOK per day (approx. 165 euro per day) for a double room shared with another participant. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, WiFi internet, and access to the pool and fitness centre.
Information on the programme, registration, and all practical aspects, such as location, travel, and the hotel is at www.earthdynamics.org/lucky13/
We hope you share our enthousiasm for the 2013 speakers!

With best wishes and looking forward to your registrations!
