Thanks very much for participating. We are all concerned about peer
review and this was evident since there were 72 complete responses in 48
hrs after which the survey was closed. I did not mention reasons for the
survey to avoid biasing the responses but the survey was done to see if
agreement across reviewers could be reached by asking a specific
question regarding a concrete item as opposed to the usual global
judgment questions used by some journals for which agreement between
reviewers (even of the same paper) has usually been poor. Results are
very promising (good agreement) and once published I will post the link
here. In the meantime a report of survey results are available to anyone
interested - please email me a request
