medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
i had no idea that there were anything like 10 translations of the Vulgate
into A-N, TBob, and i'm just curious.
was the A-N interest in translations into the vernacular connected at all to
the older (i assume) Anglo-Saxon interest in doing the same?
in other words, did the Normans catch that particular kinky bug from their new
subjects out there on the Western Fringe?
also, is the "Old English Hexateuch" going to be among the 70(!) facsimiles
you are planning to put online?
