Hello all,
I can sympathise with the article but I really believe it is more or less
the same in every other industry, business whatever you want to call it.
Just look at the gender balance for top executives and intermediate
managers in a variety of industries and countries etc. Why so few women can
make it to the top whereas they are statistically more successful in their
early career be it academia or business? All around the world, in every
field, women face with the similar problems.
Unless working place conditions are more in alliance with the realities of
life (flexible hours, day nursing service for kids), women will have to
step aside as their responsibilities accumulate. I'm sorry but that's a
men's world!
Best,
Güneş
