medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Thank you, Cecilia. For very similar reasons, I too am greatly saddened. Maria Rosa Menocal was here at Wisconsin for about a week ten years ago for a conference and some related presentations (she was in Madison at other times too; a close relative is an emeritus professor of Art History here). In addition to being a wonderfully engaging presenter she was absolutely superb with the graduate students: adjectives that come to mind are 'learned', 'kind', 'stimulating', and 'supportive'. I remember thinking how fortunate her own students must be.
