Hi all, How about Von Trier's 'Melancholia'[2011] which I love! It has a
gradual stunning buildup of nature going strange on the humans, eg birds
falling from the sky like frozen rain. All the dark quirkiness reflects
Justine's state of mind, despite what should be a happy occasion, a wedding.
The music is beautifully full of foreboding & then the planet Melancholia
makes its mark on the human race...
The effect of paganism could also perhaps be considered eg. the original
'Wicker Man'. Best, Ange
