wow.
we've talked before on this list about various on-line eds. of DuCange, but i
don't think that i have seen that particular one before.
it looks to be the best --easy to use, with a copyable text as the end
result.
it is part of the Éditions en ligne de l'École des chartes
http://elec.enc.sorbonne.fr/
which has been putting stuff on-line for about 10 years now --cartularies,
chronicles, significant studies, whatever-- and looks about ready to reach a
Critical Mass of Usefulness.
one of the Driving Spirits behind it is surely Olivier Guyotjeannin, professor
at the EdC, whose "Chartes médiévales de l'abbaye de Saint-Denis (VIIe-XIIIe
siècle)"
http://saint-denis.enc.sorbonne.fr/
is a quite remarkable bit of digital publishing.
the digital versions of the printed eds. of the "Cartulaires
d'Île-de-France"
http://elec.enc.sorbonne.fr/cartulaires/
seem to have stabilized somewhat since the last time i looked at the vols.
available --though i can think of quite a few others in the "Île-de-France"
which are not yet up on the site.
a *lot* of work, that.
with more to come.
apparently the digital eds. of the printed eds. are going to be augmented by
additional material, supplements, etc.
cf. Guyotjeannin's comments at the end of the page devoted to the cartulary of
the cathedral of Orleans:
