“How to Create a Taxonomy” is aimed at information professionals who have to organise and categorise information as part of their work. This may mean constructing a taxonomy for materials on an institutional repository, development of a file plan for records management or creation of a navigable structure for a website or intranet. The one-day course will use different types of classification system and will be based on exercises to practice and develop skills for creating classification systems.
During the day participants will:
