Well, inasmuch as he is Benedict of Montecassino he is of course a saint of the Regno, albeit hardly a lesser known one. I rather expect that he'll get his mention on 11. July, his current feast day in the Roman Calendar and consequently his principal day of commemoration in the Roman Martyrology (though in a cross-reference the RM does mention him today as well). The rationale for your correspondent's following the calendrical order of the current RM was given in the penultimate paragraph at <http://tinyurl.com/6p2497l> and need not be restated here.
