Dear All,
I was wondering whether anyone could help with the query below from
one of our Haematology colleagues:
We run serum folates on the Beckman Coulter DXI800. The manufacturers
are changing over to a new assay which measures 30-35 % higher than
the previous assay and this has been confirmed in our laboratory
through patient sample comparisons. No information has been provided
re: new reference range.
We were just wondering whether anyone else was in the same position
and how they have derived a suitable reference range (e.g., factored
up the existing one).
Kind regards,
Nicola Barlow
