**SPECIAL CALL FOR POSTERS**
BSA Food and Society Conference
July 2nd and 3rd, 2012
The British Library Conference Centre, London
*Poster Deadline: Friday 17th February*
The global economic retrenchment and ever-present environmental concerns have critical implications for food systems and eating practices. How are individuals, communities and politicians responding to these crises? How are social scientists conceptualising and addressing these issues? What (more) is to be done?
Key Speakers
Janet Poppendieck, City University of New York
Realising the Human Right to Food
Alan Warde, University of Manchester
Changing Eating Habits
Posters are an excellent opportunity for researchers to present and receive feedback on new studies and work-in-progress. For students and postgraduates, it is a chance to contribute to an international conference without the formalities of a paper presentation. As in previous years, a prize will be awarded for the poster which ‘best communicates its aims’ as voted by delegates.
Abstracts for posters must be no more than 250 words and should be submitted by Friday 17th February.
For more information about designing and using posters see websites http://lorien.ncl.ac.uk/ming/dept/Tips/present/posters.htm http://gradschool.unc.edu/student/postertips.html
Full conference fee for full-time students from £70.00 (BSA/FSG member) to £110.00 (non-member)
