Hi Maire
We have used Ebsco’s A-Z for the last few years and it is OK. It is
very cheap and using Excel it is easy to get into Millennium. The main
drawback is that it does not have all the Nesli packages so sometimes I
have to change dates - i.e. some Science direct dates are earlier than
the Nesli deal. Ebsco do keep promising to get all the Nesli deals
loaded. I do not know how good SFX is with Nesli packages..
One thing I do like about Ebsco is that you can make changes instantly
- particularly useful if you are using their A-Z list on your web pages.
I think I read that with SFX, files are updated monthly and I know with
Serials solution (we trialled it with Summon) there was an overnight
“delay”
One other thing - which you might think is a feature or not- it is
possible to work on a publisher file or Nesli deal so that it was right
for you and then make it a custom list so that your changes are not
overwritten…
If you have Ebsco packages then of course it is very accurate. I am not
on commission but I do think for the price it is very good value
You can see our A-Z list at http://atoz.ebsco.com/Titles/12545 but I
know it is the integration with Millennium you are more interested in
If I can be of any more help please let me know

Subject: Re: Coverage Data for E-Journals
Hi
We are currently setting up our ERM and plan to use our existing SFX
data to our initial coverage load. Our contract for this service is
coming to an end as we are going to use WebBridge as our openurl
resolver. Does anyone use CASE and how do you find it? We are looking
at alternative sources for our coverage load and I would be interested
to hear what sources other Millennium customers use and how easy they
find it to format them for upload.
Thanks and kind regards
Maire
