Gloucestershire County Council and the Library Service are refusing to meet library users in an open public meeting today. Plans are once again being made behind closed doors with no user input. It seems lessons have not been learned. We have written to Mr Vaizey outlining how he failed us last time and asking him to explain how he intends to make sure this does not happen again
Mr Vaizey, you knew, you did nothing, now what? http://foclibrary.wordpress.com/2011/12/13/mr-vaizey-you-knew-you-did-nothing-now-what-friends-of-gloucestershire-libraries/
we also wrote a joint open letter to Mr Vaizey calling for action. This has received an overwhelming response so far. Librarians, authors, library user groups. scholars and more have signed it and they keep flooding in

The battle continues.
