Hi Henry:
It occurs to me that this screen phenomenon is particularly characteristic of horror films, when we get to see the terror they create long before we get a clear sight of the monsters themselves.
There are several good examples in Alien...only near the end do you start to get reverse shots of the monster.

Subject: [FILM-PHILOSOPHY] Off-space
Hi all,
for my forthcoming class on invisibility and off-screen space, I'm still looking for poignant and paradigmatic film examples. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help!
Henry
