Dear list members,
I am having a hard time naming the subject of this post. I am using "visual information for complex social issues" for visual materials such as:
"The story of stuff" http://www.storyofstuff.com/
"GOOD infographics" http://www.good.is/infographics
"Protect IP Act Breaks the Internet" http://www.everythingisaremix.info/protect-ip/
"RSAnimates" http://comment.rsablogs.org.uk/videos/
They are very popular in the Internet and I think they are excellent visual design pieces, but I was wondering if any of you know about studies that assess the actual efficacy of this visual objects to generate changes in social behaviors. Are they affecting social movements or political actions? Do they reach audiences in developing countries?
I will appreciate any reference or suggestions, thanks.
