medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Gordon,
Somewhere I even have a copy of this article - if I could find it! I was interested at that time in the fact
that there were quite good remains of one body but not the other (presumably reflecting tight fit, or lack
of it, of the top of the tomb). I don't recall a detailed art historical analysis of the figures, though.

There is an article on the tomb of Gray:
H. G. Ramm and others, 'The tombs of archbishops Walter de Gray (1216-55), and Godfrey de Ludham (1258-65) in York Minster and their contents', Archaeologia, 102 (1971), 101-47
