Dear Andy,
Have a look at Mark Swanson's work at Two Lights State Park and other coastal exposures in southern Maine. He did beautiful detailed work based on photographs from a camera on pole. I just moved and don't have his papers handy but if you georef (or otherwise search) him you will find his articles. He's at the University of Southern Maine. Not sure if he's on this list but you can always try to contact him.
Good luck and have fun!
Yvette

Subject: Rock Outcrops Photographs
We are looking at taking photographs of flat "Rock Pavement" using a camera on a pole.
I would appreciate any hints how this would work and or any articles out there that may describe it.
