While on the subject of apple has anyone managed to connect remotely to
their hospital network using ipad? CISO supposed to have software for
this, any one managed to get to work?

Thanks Gary,
Its a good tip worth sharing.
I use a Mac both at work and at home, I do have Outlook but actually use
the mail app that comes with Osx. It too has rules which I use
extensively. Now outlook is finally available it is actually very good
on the Mac, but have stuck with mail.app
I also have a couple of homebrew applescripts that turn flagged emails
into Omnifocus (http://www.omnigroup.com/products/omnifocus/) tasks,
archive emails etc. Be happy to share these if people want.
I also use a number of other things that save time if people that are
interested like Textexpander
(http://www.smilesoftware.com/TextExpander/) must be something similar
on Windows. This takes small 'snippets' of text and expands them.
Hazel (http://www.noodlesoft.com/) -again must be something similar on
windows - which is like email rules for files. So for example if I save
a file with -presx in the file name it automatically files it in the
folder where I keep all my presentations etc
Dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/) - multi platform, shares files
anywhere
I could go on!
Cheers

Craig,
I'm not a "fan" of social networking sites, especially as they tend to
make changes for their own benefit, or that of millions rather than the
few.
However, regarding your comment about emails, if you are using Outlook,
as we do, and I do at home, it is simple to run a rule on incoming
emails, and send them to different folders. I do this for ACB mailbase,
and also for all emails which arrive when I am on annual Leave, so then
I don't come back to an Inbox full of 2 weeks, but can start afresh, and
delve into or delete what arrived in my absence. at my leisure.

Do you mean the mail base and or twitter? Is the mail base indexed by
google etc? I think you can see topic titles without subscribing on the
web interface.
