************************************APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING********************************
The next Public Sector Group meetings will take place on October 12th (London) and October 21st (Nottingham). The theme will be Digital Continuity. The meetings are being sponsored by the PDF/A Competence Centre and we already have a case study presentation from Kings College London on the agenda. Booking for this meeting has not yet opened either Deborah or I will circulate the list at the beginning of September.
Deborah and I are developing the agenda as I write this. We have approached TNA Digital Continuity Unit to see if they will provide a speaker, but we haven't yet had a response from them. We are also looking for one or maybe two speakers to complete the agenda. Ideally we are looking for people who would be able to make themselves available for both meetings but if not we can fit the agenda around different availabilities.
We are looking for speakers who would be able to cover any of the following subjects:
1. the issues around the business risk analysis on digital continuity (e.g. what a records manager needs to look for, business risk models which could be used).
2. the elements which should be covered in a digital continuity policy.
3. the relationship between good retention scheduling and digital continuity.
4. roles and responsibilities - e.g. SIRO, IAO etc in the digital continuity process.
If you have expertise in any of these areas that you would be prepared to share with the Public Sector Group or you would like to find out more information please do contact Elizabeth Barber off list on [log in to unmask]
