DRS PedSIG (Design Research Society Special Interest Group on Design
Pedagogy) and Cumulus (the International Association of Universities and
Colleges of Art, Design and Media) invite you to attend the 1st
International Symposium for Design Education Researchers in Paris, France.
The symposium's overarching aim is to explore how innovation in
education is informed by and is informing design research. We hope that
the symposium will provide a space for design educators to continue to
review their educational practices and the assumptions underpinning
these practices. In order to do this we have invited a diverse mix of
speakers to explore the symposium's theme. For list of confirm speakers
see the symposium's website
http://collab.northumbria.ac.uk/2011paris/?page_id=15
We have also prepared a workshop on the theme of: Dissemination
Strategies - Author, Editor and Publisher (max. 45 participants). The
aim is to outline and discuss strategies that might help you to get
published. We have invited three workshop facilitators to provide you
with perspectives from a book author, a journal editor and a publisher.
The event will be hosted by Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Paris
in La Bourse de Commerce on 18 May and on 19 May by Strate Collège
Designers.
More information on the Symposium is available from its website:
