Have you considered Adlib?
It has library, museum and archival functions. It has certain functional
advantages over Calm, but it takes a little while to get used to ...
Have a look at our website for an old online version which is about to be
upgraded with a better heirarchy browser.

Archive Management Systems
Dear All,
My organisation is currently considering how to manage its archives for
the future. DS CALM is the front runner of the proprietary archive
management systems. The other possibility is using EAD software and tools
for collection management.
Does anyone have suggestions of why they use particular systems, or the
advantages and disadvantages of using CALM or EAD? Ideally the system
should also be able to handle museum object cataloguing.
Comments and suggestions welcome!
Thank you
Karen
