Natasha Djedovic has set up an LCMS urine cortisol method that is able
also to detect qualitatively other synthetic steroid including
dexamthasone and beta methasone. Her direct line number is 0208 869
2125.
In an audit of our urine free cortisol request we have found about 5% of
the requests have low cortisol results have other steroids present.

Subject: Dexamethasone assay
We have a patient with abnormal cortisol and SST and would like to rule
out dexamethasone suppression as a cause. Does anyone know where we
could get dexamethasone levels measured?
Thanks
Denise
