Dear All,
I have disabled the events link.

Natalie,
I'm puzzled. This sounds like a classic remote IT support query as
it doesn't sound as if I'm seeing on my phone what you are on yours!
On my phone I have a box at the top which has links to Library Home; Your
account; Select a different library and then beneath it there's a catalogue
search box. Underneath that are the library logo, Hours and locations and My
account links. Hence on my phone you can search the catalogue without
logging in (as on the emulator). I'll have a look to see if there's an
Android emulator anywhere on the web.....
As for the prompts beneath, these are all adaptable from the LibraryThing
admin site. I think it would be possible to disable the Events link, but as
yet haven't had a lot of time to experiment with it. Due to a problem with
the student numbers printed on our campus cards we won't be going beyond
beta status with Library Anywhere this academic year.

Hello Ian,
Sorry - I've not been clear enough. Yes I am using an Android phone but I
see the same as you describe: 'Hours and locations', Events, and My Account.
But as I don't have an account I can't login and search the catalogue. So is
the only way to search your catalogue for me to login to My Account, or can
I search it without logging in to My Account?
Also: Does the Events link have to be there? I wonder if we'd use this, so
it would be good to know if this option could be removed if it's never going
to be populated.
Thanks,
Natalie

Natalie,
I wasn't aware that our instance asks for a login first? - it
doesn't on my old Palm phone or on the emulator at
http://www.libanywhere.com/m/178/. You should get a search box, with the
hours, events and login prompts underneath. When you first attach it checks
what kind of device you're using and I've only been able to test it with the
universal client and the iPhone client however - are you using an Android
phone?

Hello,
I was just wanting to have a look at LibraryAnywhere (LibraryThing's mobile
app for libraries) on a Millennium library, and the ones I've looked at
(Keele, ITT and County Clare) all seem to ask you to login before you can
search the catalogue. Is this correct, or am I missing a glaringly obvious
catalogue link somewhere?
Could you set up LibraryAnywhere to allow someone to search your catalogue
without logging in first?
Thanks!
Natalie
