No experience but I would have thought that in order to collect DSI data you could set the diffusion gradient mode to "free". In this case the scanner uses the values in the DiffusionVectors.txt file in the CustomerSeq directory to define the diffusion vectors. This approach provides full control over the gradient amplitudes, which should allow the implementation of any particular DSI scheme (but also means one has to be careful not to overload the gradients).
