They provide optimized diffusion directions. You'll just need to setup the array of b-values.

I haven't been down to the scanner console in a while... but I don't
think our current machine has a "default" DSI protocol. Is this
something obtainable from Siemens and/or require the MR physicists to
implement on their own?
