But two are stolen - First Antonio's then the one he steals (but is stopped by the crowd) at ther end. Isn't the pluarity the point of the movie? Thievery is a collective social condition not the behaviour of an individual?

So did these people simply not see the pluralities which you described (my modus ponens from individual act to many potentialities), or was the plural effaced by intent?
