Subject: [ands-general] New blog for ANDS-related projects hosted at USQ
Hi all,
A couple of Boot Camp participants, including me, asked ANDS if they
would be able to supply a blog site where we could post updates on
ANDS-funded projects. I thought that a blog would be a good place to
post documents about project progress which could be seen by everyone
globally, not just ANDS people and partners, with an opportunity for
discussion in the comments.
ANDS have decided not to provide a blog, preferring to stick with
their discussion forum, so after consultation with some colleagues who
are running ANDS projects, and with ANDS, a few of us have set up a
WordPress blog hosted at the Australian Digital Futures Institute. The
idea is for any ANDS-funded or related project to be able to post to
the blog, introducing their project and giving updates on its
progress. We thought that having one place to subscribe to or visit
would be easier than multiple project blogs which might have
infrequent postings and it might help to surface some of the less
visible projects.
For now, the URL is: http://adfi.usq.edu.au/ands-partners/ we will
register a new domain name for it and let you know when that's done.
The first post, by Vicki Picasso and me, is a discussion of the
EIF-040 project my team at USQ is working on with Newcastle and
Swinburne universities.

Anyone working on an ANDS project is welcome sign up as an author -
let me know if you want to join up. At this stage we have Nigel Ward
from The University of Queensland and Vicki Picasso from the Newcastle
University on board. We will tweet updates with #ANDS, and notify this
group when there is new content.
